If you're anything like me, you blinked and suddenly, Thanksgiving is here! Where did the time go? One minute, it was just another crazy week, and now it's here. The hustle and bustle are in full swing, and it's easy to feel like you're scrambling to get everything ready.
With the Thanksgiving preparations underway, you're probably thinking, how can I keep the kids occupied (and maybe even the adults) while you get things done? Well, I've got you covered! I've rounded up 4 super simple, no-fuss printables that will keep everyone entertained without requiring a ton of setup or cleanup. Best part? You only need a printer, paper, crayons, colored pencils, and a pen. No need to run out for fancy supplies.
1. Get them thinking about all the great things in their life. This free Printable Thankful Tree and Leaves to Color is perfect to print out for the kiddos and adults to share around the dinner table. The tradition of showing and sharing gratitude on Thanksgiving Day and every day is an important practice
2. These FREE printable bookmarks capture the season. Ok, you'll need to add scissors to the supply list but it's still easy enough. Need to stretch time even more. Instead of a game of hide and seek, how about a game of "Find the Bookmark"?
3. I spy with my little eyes.... so many things. Pilgrim hat to turkeys, corn and pumpkin pie are just a few of our favorite things this season. Coloring and counting will keep them busy with this printable.
4. Kids and adults a like can be busy and hopefully find their inner zen with these coloring pages. Just be sure they don't sneak out when everyone is supposed to help you clear the table and do dishes! Download this mini coloring book, I bet you need at least two sets!
Bonus Tip: Easy Clean-Up!
The best part about all of these activities is that they don't require a ton of cleanup. After everyone’s done coloring, crafting, or solving puzzles, simply toss the papers into the recycling bin, and you're all set. No glitter spills, no glitter-glue mess, and no extra bins of supplies to deal with.
So, the next time you find yourself in need of a few moments of quiet time, just print out one (or all!) of these activities. Before you hit print, can you do us a favor and hit share of this article to your favorite parent Facebook group. We hope this is a simple, stress-free way to keep everyone entertained, focused, and having fun without a mess.
Happy Thanksgiving!
