We may still be watching the snow melt (and know they'll be more storm to come this season) but now is the best time to start planning for summer camp. Why? With many camps, you can get an early bird discount by registering soon. Popular camps and specialty programs also fill long before camp is here. I wish just like I could tell you Trout Season starts all over New Jersey on April 5 at 8am, that camp registration season starts today everywhere. Camp registration has begun for some and won't happen for others for another month or two. We've been working on our camp guide but you'll see it grow every week. Later this month will also add three specialty pages to our guide: the first is for vacation bible schools that tend to only be a week; the second is for enrichment like dance or karate that may be an hour a week for just a few weeks or only a week program; the third is all of the town camps. These categories tend to have information available later than the full time camps.
Did you know one thing that makes camp even better? Having friends there. Please share our guide with your friends or in your local mom's group. Helping fill the camps, helps make sure all the specialty programs are able to run.
