Free Comic Book Day is exactly what it sounds like: once a year, comic book publishers release special, free editions just for this day, and participating shops across the country hand them out. Many stores even add extra fun with games, raffles, meet-and-greets, and more!
Right here in our area, four awesome local comic shops will be celebrating—and you’re invited! Remember to Say you saw it on Macaroni Kid!
(Just a heads-up: there’s no way to guarantee which titles each store will have in advance, so it’s always a fun surprise.)

We highly recommend getting there early if the free book is everything to you. There have been past reports of lines forming 1-2 hours early (though most give away enough free books to list for hours but not necessarily all the way to closing time).
