Instructors are responsible for delivering our Science and Technology summer camp curriculum for campers in grades PK-8th. This position requires remarkable individuals that will demonstrate above all their passion for children and teaching. If you are a seasoned educator with the desire to learn a new curriculum, we will provide the training and methods to develop expertise in the new subject matter. These individuals will have a great work ethic by demonstrating dependability, punctuality, and dedication to the Club SciKidz Brand. We are also looking for seasoned "Experts in Their Fields". These individuals have extensive real-world experience in our core offerings. The ideal candidates will possess a college education and have experience and a love for working with children. All candidates must provide references, have a background check, and complete a two-day in-person training program. There is also a video training program that must be completed prior to the in-person training.

Dance Specialist

Dates/Hours: June 23 – August 15, 2025 (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:15pm) No Camp July 4th. MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL 8 WEEKS!
Salary: $4150 for the summer
Description: Our Dance Specialist is responsible for the supervision of campers, dance instruction, providing a safe and fun learning environment, and serving as a positive role model for campers. Activity Specialists also have the opportunity to work extended hours doing lessons for additional income ($40 per half hour). Essential Job Responsibilities: Ensure safety of campers and team members Enforce all rules and regulations Daily supervision of the area Group supervision of campers with attention to behavior and group management, health, safety, security, and personal and skill development Daily dance instruction to campers between the ages of 3 and 15 with different ability levels (Teach them dance routines for our big production!) Use effective management skills to lead the activity and effectively create an inclusive and fun environment Motivate campers by creating fun for them in your activity (i.e. dances, songs, games, cheers, etc.) Encourage creativity and critical thinking Work effectively with fellow Activity Specialists and
Counselors; collaborate on daily responsibilities Serve as a positive role model to campers Able to work outside, upright and mobile for six (6) to eight (8) hours per day Outstanding communication skills which include the ability to use clear, concise and grammatically correct written and oral language in all aspects of professional interaction with campers, their families, peers, leadership team and the larger community Dance Instruction experience (required) Reports directly to and takes direction from the Creative Division Head.

Dates: June 23 - August 15. Camp is only open for 39 days each year. Therefore, we can only hire staff who can commit to the entire summer and work all 39 days!
Every camp group has a counselor(s) who are active participants in every aspect of every camper’s day. The bond formed between camper and counselor is extremely important and often dictates how a camper likes camp. Willow Lake counselors are active, patient, warm, friendly, fun, energetic and responsible. They also must demonstrate good listening skills and be able to relate to children and sincerely care about their needs.
